The story of Amyl and the Sniffers is as fast paced as their music: It took just twelve hours from the founding of the band to the first EP. At that time, it was meant as a joke among friends; singer Amy Taylor was housemates with half of the sniffers. Two years later, the group signed a record deal with the prestigious label Rough Trade. Suddenly serious? Hardly: Their enraged punk rock is still great fun, including wild shredded rock’n’roll riffs, filthy language, questionable hairstyles and excitable live shows.
